<speak> <emphasis level="strong">Three common responses to mindfulness practice</emphasis><break strength="x-strong"/> <break strength="x-strong"/> Focused, mindful, alert, engaged, and even experiencing non-dual spiritual connection.<break strength="x-strong"/> Sleepy, fatigued, drowsy, asleep.<break strength="x-strong"/> Agitated, restless, distracted, angry, anxious, triggered.<break strength="x-strong"/> Any of these three may come up, all are common and understandable responses.<break strength="x-strong"/> The goal is not to have a focus on an “outcome”, but rather to allow ourselves to be with whatever experience comes up for us without judgement and express a warm inner voice tone of care and curiosity towards ourselves.<break strength="x-strong"/> If we are feeling agitated, we can be patient towards ourselves in those moments, and take care of ourselves with mindful awareness. If we are feeling focused and relaxed, we can allow ourselves to enjoy that.<break strength="x-strong"/> And if we are feeling sleepy, we can allow ourselves to have a break, and re-engage after taking care of ourselves.
