Why SJWs enable bigotry 2022 The digital age. It has many positive sides, but also a lot of negative ones. With such a widespread access to information, misinformation inevitably spreads like wildfire. Bigotry, such as homophobia, transphobia and racism gets picked up more easily by people. But worry not! “Social Justice Warriors” are here to help! Except they help too much. SJWs are, according to wikipedia, someone who promotes progressive and left-wing views, which isn’t bad at all. But what makes someone truly a SJW, at least in internets eyes, is when they take it too far. They may take jokes too seriously, they may choose to attack people instead of teach, and they may try to cancel someone. Internet's greatest fear. SJWs want to help, they just don’t do it well. It would've been all good, the internet could laugh at them and went on their way. But sadly this doesn’t end well. Large part of the internet hate SJWs, due to their overbearing way to spread their beliefs, and bigoted people use this. Whenever they get called out for something, they blame SJWs and “cancel culture”. And with internets perception of SJWs, this lends the bigoted people an out. Their following continue believing in them, and they reduce the chance of getting canceled. Speaking of, is “cancel culture” really that bad? Sure, it is often done when it isn’t appropriate, but bad and bigoted people, celebrities and companies shouldn’t be protected from it. A topic for another day I guess. So, are there any real life examples of bad people using SJWs as an escape? A good example is megachurch pastors, such as [insert name]. [play clips] What about celebrities? [show tweets] As we can see, the overbearing nature of SJWs can make real situations downplayed. It removes credibility from progressive views, especially with how much SJWs are memed. It can get to the point where actual good, well researched, arguments are played off as being by an “SJW”. Of course, those that are overbearing with their views, takes jokes too seriously, and send threats to people who don’t hold their views, should be labeled as an SJW, but it is important not to stereotype it, don’t downplay an opinion just because a bad person holds it. So to conclude. The way SJWs share their opinion, that being aggressive and with threats, makes people with the same opinion, but who share it in a good way, downplayed. Their opinions are told to be untrue, even if it is well researched and said in a friendly way. Of course, not everyone will downplay it, but it makes people who’ve already adopted bigotted views more stuck in their ways. Ironically, the place where SJWs are mainly present, that being twitter, is also the place where most of the people who use SJWs as an escape for their own bad behavior. Remember, be kind.
