N E C X-ON is committed to providing and maintaining a healthy and safe working environment and to complying with all health and safety legal and customer requirements that relate to our activities in reference to N E C X-ON’s Core Values and the Code of Conduct. Statement of General Policy. Prevent occupational illness and injury to all employees, wherever they are working; as well as visitors, contractors, members of the public and others who may be affected by our activities, through the identification of hazards and the control of risks. Offer adequate resources and training, to ensure employees are competent to do their work. Develop general staff awareness of their working environment. Maintain safe and healthy working conditions, ensuring the safe storage and use of equipment. Actions / Arrangements. Complete relevant risk assessments and implement actions arising out of those assessments. Review risk assessments when working habits or conditions change. Provide staff and subcontractors with a health and safety induction, appropriate training and personal protective equipment as fit for their roles. Engage and consult with employees on day-to-day health and safety conditions to foster a culture of individual responsibility, open consultation, and cooperation. Implement and maintain a system for routine inspections / testing of equipment and for ensuring that action is promptly taken to address any defects.
