Welcome to the church of Pentecost audio devotional. It’s the Sunday, July 31, 2022 edition. So Far This Week. Exposition: We have learnt about emotions during the week. We have learnt that emotions are responses to significant internal and external events. Expressing emotions are part of our daily lives. In a day, you could become happy or sad, get angry or even entertain some fear. In as much as expressing an emotion is a natural phenomenon, it is expedient that we are always guided by the word of God on how we react to situations or relate to people. Our knowledge of the word of God and the faith we have in God should reflect how we handle our emotions. Whatever we do must bring glory to God. Let us always rely on the Holy Spirit to strengthen and order our steps. Prayer Guide: Lord, teach me how to handle my emotions well to the glory of your name, Amen. Our Memory Verse For This Week: Philippians chapter 4 verse 8: Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.
