E-LADEEN Hello judges and thank you for giving us the opportunity to submit our project. Inspired by One Thousand and One Nights, an ancient series of Arab folklore tales, our transportation platform E-ladeen will have a central theme of a 'magic carpet' incorporated through AR visuals and content. We aim to localise the control of public transport through a user friendly mobile application adjusted for all literacy levels. We wish to create family friendly alternatives that will especially be useful to solo female travellers in rural areas, with plans to include a gaming interface to engage youth and children using Augmented Reality based displays and animations. E-ladeen will decentralize the management and eliminate middle-men allowing for a significant reduction in costs for the end-user and better quality with the help of social networks. The app will serve to fulfil transport requirements of the community by offering a pre-booking module modified to fit local transport routes and operators. Customers will leave feedback for services they use, which will help new users. This will be achieved by the help of AR and native application Development Environments (Android and Swift). Unity and Vuforia are the major platforms to embed Augmented Reality in E-Ladeen. Our Team has a collective experience that exceeds 100 Years and consists of Computer Engineering students, Visual Communication, Experiential Design and Technology professionals, and Experts in the field of Digital Design. E-ladeen is going to be the first platform of its kind in Pakistan, and will change the system of commuting prevalent in rural areas, through monitoring and ensuring quality, safety, and value for money.
