Hello judges and thank you for giving us the opportunity to submit our project. With regards to healthcare, there are many pitfalls that average Pakistani citizens, especially those in rural areas, will face in their lifetime. Our platform E-laaj is a system designed for access to doctors and specialists in a wide net of hospitals through smartphones and handheld devices, hence eliminating the need for direct contact between a patient and physician. The platform will include a registry of doctors, clinics, hospitals, testing laboratories and pharmacies, as its goal is to become a one stop shop for all healthcare and wellbeing requirements. There will be a component in the app where patients will get reminders, and can receive and save their medical history as well as lab test results in digital form for future access. Candidates will be able to attend a doctor’s appointment from their home, with no need to travel long distances, or visit any hospitals or wait for appointments to take place. The interface also allows integration of online prescriptions to home delivery of medicines, and users can make payments online through electronic money transfer and digital payment methods. All of these services will be arranged in an engaging user interface (UI) with the use of augmented reality (AR) components. Through interactive and engaging displays and animations to portray healthcare activities as a pleasant experience, the application will aim to comfort and encourage the patient to practice self care. In addition this application will give access to a wider range of healthcare for those living in rural areas in Pakistan than they would usually be able to get. Eventually this will reduce mortality rates and encourage governing bodies to invest more into infrastructure for digital healthcare access in rural areas as residents gain a deeper understanding of the benefits that such a platform can bring them. Our Team has a collective experience that exceeds 100 Years and consists of Computer Engineering students, Experiential Design and Technology professionals, and Experts in the field of Digital Design. E-laaj is going to equalise access to healthcare for all citizens of Pakistan and make a significant contribution to ensuring better standards of living in the country.
