Your car is equipped with DPF system which removes harmful contents in exhaust gases and make it environmentally friendly. However, for DPF system to work effectively, oxygen in air is very much essential. At high altitude of 4000 m and above, oxygen in air gets less leading to insufficient operation of DPF system causing DPF warning message to display in your Multi Information Display. T Shield recommends following care of your car for high altitude driving, Before start of your travel, visit your nearest Toyota dealer to activate customized regeneration mode in your car . Also, have your vehicle inspected for the routine check items for long journey. During your travel, kindly follow these steps for smooth journey, Before reaching 4000 m altitude, park your car with engine ON condition, press and hold manual regeneration switch for 2 sec to start cleaning process of the DPF system. This may take 20 to 40 minutes to complete full process. Repeat the process whenever the altitude is less than 4000 m during your trip. This Makes your trip awesome.
