Did you know why is the visual video for? Im sure you have an idea regarding it. Im going to simplify the current processes here. This video is to show our current process in U C T M warehouse in order for us to bring up the Kitting e dashboard which is to make the kitting operation works effectively and efficiently. This is the main and the most labour intensive activity of warehouses. Once production orders release, let’s look at the very 1st step. Store planner will update manually those production orders in excel which is temporarily named as kitting dashboard.Through the kitting dashboard, material handler will refer and proceed based on priority accordingly. They will print picklist based on operation and update in kitting dashboard manually. Once the O P is picked, the material handler need to change the kitting status to in progress. Once completed, the next process is audit and need to update the progress. Once the storage unit for specific op is completed, the material handler need to moved to decon and update the status completed. As you see, the process here is too manual, and it is difficult for individual project owners and supervisors to monitor manually by kitting dashboard or need to wait for the material handler’s update. To make it more efficient, we want to implement kitting e dashboard to be automated where we have a clear visibility to view the status for each individual project.
