Welcome to the church of Pentecost audio devotional. It’s the Saturday, July 23, 2022 edition. Topic: Strategic Planning. Scripture References: Luke chapter 14 verse 28 to 33; Proverbs chapter 14 verse15. Exposition: One of the lessons to be emulated from business and financial giants is strategic planning. Strategic planning is the key to being prepared and able to adjust to different scenarios. It is said that when one fails to plan, one plans to fail. Hence, it is important to consider our actions and their effects before taking steps into the unknown. In the face of the different stages of a business lifecycle, only those who have planned well can weather the storm and stay afloat. It is written in Luke that which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it?” God is asking us today that, which one amongst you, my brothers and sisters, yearns to build a ‘towerful’ business and financial life? Let him sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to finish. To complete the journey of building a ‘towerful’ business, we must first sit down and calculate. This is what planning is. Yes, the vision is the picture of the future, but planning is what makes you feature in the future. In school, teachers in different disciplines taught us specific concepts and theories; however, one common trait amongst them all was to have a lesson plan. This stated out the ways and how’s to go about teaching so that by the end of that activity, the particular concept or theory would have been well-comprehended by the majority. Again, in the construction world, every building starts with a plan before we even start with the foundation. It is not enough to envision a ‘towerful’ business and financial life, but the question is “how do you build it.” Don’t just be on the move, sit down, calculate, draw out the path and start your journey in the laid down plan. It is certainly certain that your profiting shall appear unto all men. Hallelujah. Prayer Guide: Heavenly father, help me to align myself to your plans as I plan to pursue growth. Amen. Our Memory Verse For This Week: Hebrews chapter 6 verse 12: “that you do not become sluggish but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Let’s go over it again: Hebrews chapter 6 verse 12: “that you do not become sluggish but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Thank you for listening. Do have a blessed day!
