Satellite for Health, is one of the promising projects which forecast hospital admission and patient length of stay with the help of satellite and ground station data. The primary purpose of the project is , To select the most suitable satellite imagery data that can identify primary climatic factors influencing public health. To investigate the combined effect of weather parameters and pollutants on human health. To investigate the primary pollution parameters collected from in situ ground stations affecting public Health. To characterize the impact of weather factors on hospital admissions and patient length of stay. Develop public health monitoring and resource requirement forecasting. This project has significance in, Identification of primary climatic factors that influences public health. Investigating the co-relation of weather parameter and pollutants in hospital admission rates. Modeling the correlation between the satellite imagery data and weather stations data. Characterizing the impact of weather factors on the hospital admissions and patient length of stay. Developing public prototype satellite-based health monitoring and resource requirement forecasting tools. Sentinel-3 , TERRA / AQUA and EUMETSAT satellites are used to collect the satellite data , which provides land surface temperature, Level 2 Atmospheric stability indices, vertical temperature and cloud cover. While, Health data was collected from Directorate for Health Information & Research (DHIR). A novel Holistic approach is proposed to process the datasets and generate forecasting. The expected output of this project is, A Suitable Satellite imagery data that can help in the identification of primary climatic factors influencing public health. A primary weather parameter collected from in situ ground stations affecting public Health. Correlation between satellite imagery and weather stations data. Impact of climatic factors on the hospital admissions and patient length of stay. Public health monitoring and resource requirement forecasting. We will try to extend the project by adding more weather parameters and analyzing their impact on human health. This project not only discloses the crucial effects of the weather but also helps us to improve our health facilities.
