Welcome to the church of Pentecost audio devotional. It’s the Saturday, July 16, 2022 edition. Topic: Impacting Generations With Your Knowledge. Scripture Reference: Second Timothy chapter 2 verse 1 to 2. Exposition: One of our core mandates as Christians is to impact other people and society. One way to impact others is to share with them the knowledge we have acquired or God has endowed us with. Apostle Paul, in today’s passage, reminds Timothy that, first, he had imparted some knowledge into him and second, he was to teach the knowledge he had acquired. Apostle Paul gave him the proper form of sound doctrine which he was to teach and further admonished him to commit those truths to faithful men in the same way that they had been committed to him so that the truth might be preserved in the Church for the saints to successively preach it. Christians are supposed to impact others with the knowledge they have acquired in order to perpetuate it for societal benefit and transformation. Proverbs chapter 27 verse 17 says that as iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. Someone has said that “In vain have you acquired knowledge if you have not imparted it to others.” This means that if you do not share your acquired knowledge with others, it is of no value. Louis L’Amour, an American Author, has also said that “Knowledge is like money: to be of value it must circulate and in circulating, it can increase in quantity and, hopefully, in value.” The good news is that as you impact others with your knowledge, you grow in the knowledge and become a better person. Acquire the right knowledge and let others benefit from what you have. Prayer Guide: Lord, grant me the heart and the courage to impact others with the knowledge you have endowed me with. Our Memory Verse For This Week: Second Timothy chapter 2 verse 15: Study earnestly to present yourself approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. Let’s go over it again: Second Timothy chapter 2 verse 15: Study earnestly to present yourself approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. Thank you for listening. Do have a blessed day!
