When the airspeed is higher than 40 knots, the ground speed is lower than 150 knots, and the radar altitude is between 150 and 2000 feet, the pilot can engage the mark on target mode by selecting the MOT push-button on the APCP. The mode engagement is visually and aurally annunciated, as follows: - three green MOT labels, one for the caption of the collective axis, one for the caption of the pitch axis and one for the caption of the roll axis, are displayed on the left and on the right hand sides of the in command arrow; - a MOT green label is displayed on the left hand side of the barometric scale; - a green frame flashes around the MOT labels for 5 seconds; - a green light illuminates on the MOT push-button; - an aural chime is generated; - and the following magenta bugs with the relevant readouts are displayed on the corresponding scale: - on the airspeed scale in accordance with the target IAS foreseen at FHAF; - and on the RADar ALTitude, or RADALT scale at 50 ft of radar height. As a result the descent and deceleration phase starts in order to achieve the selected values.
