David Yates is a British film director who has directed five Harry Potter films, as well as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. He has also directed episodes of the television series State of Play and Sex Traffic. Yates was born in 1963 in St Helens, Lancashire, England. He began his career working in television before moving into film directing. JK Rowling is the screenwriter for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, the third installment in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. She is also the author of the Harry Potter book series. Rowling was born in England and now lives in Scotland with her husband and three children. She has won numerous awards for her work, including the Order of the British Empire. Professor Albus Dumbledore is the headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and one of the most powerful wizards in the world. He has a long-standing feud with Gellert Grindelwald, a dark wizard who is hell-bent on taking over the wizarding world. In an effort to stop Grindelwald, Dumbledore enlists the help of magizoologist Newt Scamander. Professor Albus Dumbledore is well aware that the powerful, evil wizard Gellert Grindelwald is plotting to take over the wizarding world. He entrusts magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid squad of wizards and witches to stop him alone. This film follows the events of the previous film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, in which Newt helped thwart Grindelwald's escape from prison. The third installment in the Fantastic Beasts franchise, The Secrets of Dumbledore, is set to be released in theaters this November. The film, which is a prequel to the Harry Potter series, follows magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) as he tries to stop the evil wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp).
