i've said this a LOT of times and i'm gonna say it every time, international fame is equally as important as korean fame for a kpop group (at least in the majority of the cases). kpop is now a global thing and it has been like that since the last five years, so a lot of groups seek for international fame just as they do with korean fame. if international sucess wasn't as important as some kpop stans say, then why a lot of groups promote outside of korea and make english/japanese/chinese etc versions of their songs? saying that international fame is useless if the group isn't that famous in korea is pretty stupid tbh.a group can exist finely only with korean or international fame, if they have both then that's perfect but acting like korean fame is the only thing that will make a group work is just not true.
