Amy is also very kind and caring, always looking out for Sonic's well-being. In the end, she proves to be a true friend and an invaluable asset in Sonic's battle against Dr. Robotnik. Sonic's best friend and sidekick, Miles Tails Prower, is a two-tailed fox who is always eager to help out his pal. He is an expert mechanic and can fly using his tails. In Sonic 2, Tails proves himself to be a true hero when he helps Sonic take down Dr. Robotnik. In Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Shadow the Hedgehog will make a cameo appearance in a scene where Sonic and Dr. Robotnik are fighting. This will be the first time Shadow has appeared in a Sonic movie. In the scene, Shadow will be shown to have healthbars, which is a new feature in this movie. Sonic and Shadow will team up to defeat Dr. Robotnik and Knuckles. After they defeat their enemies, Shadow will disappear and Sonic will be left alone again. Sonic is eager to demonstrate that he has what it takes to be a real hero after settling in Green Hills. When Dr. Robotnik reappears, this time with Knuckles as his new companion, he will put him to the test as they look for an emerald that has the capability of destroying civilizations. To discover the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands, Sonic partners up with Tails, his own sidekick, and the two travel the world.
