A cylinder is a solid figure bounded by two identical plane bases (or plane faces) along with one curved lateral surface (or curved face). A circular cylinder has circles as the bases. In right circular cylinder (sometimes called a right cylinder), the line joining the centers of the circular bases is perpendicular to the bases. A right cylinder has three faces – two circular and one curved – along with two curved edges. It has no vertex.
