I am going to explain the course outline of Linear Algebra for the Bachelor of Teaching Degree Programme, Primary Mathematics Education. The course code is MTES3283. Now, let’s move on to the next slide. Linear Algebra is offered in semester 2 for year 3 students. The total Student Learning Time or SLT is 122 hours. The credit value for this course is 3 credits. Let us look at the synopsis of Linear Algebra. This course focuses on systems of linear equations, determinants, vector spaces, linear transformation, orthogonality, eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Students will learn some applications of systems of linear equations and determinants, solving problems of linear transformations, eigenvalues in a matrix Aⁿ. This course is offered to enable students to apply the concept of linear algebra in solving authentic problems.
