The last session of the unit it is session number 9, a re-think session. After its correspondent presentation. The students will read the On-board diary of the crew, by developing a think-pair-share strategy, in order to work on Education in Values, related to the development of the Social and Civic Competence. Then, an open debate about the value already worked in the reading: the value of being polite in public transport will be carried out. It is important to notice that the date of the on-board dairy is exactly the day of the lesson in which the text will be read, in order to motivate them and give continuity to the involvement within the story. In the next activity, activity number 2, we present certain stunning and uncredible knowledge related to the topic, which makes them think about social actual problems, in this unit, we will present to the student’s weird means of transport as the Totora Ship from Peru. or the DUKW, which runs on land and floats on water, from the UK. However, the focus will be on those in which animals are the means of transport. Then they will write 3 sentences about the use of animals as a means of transport. Moving on to activity number 3, we will spend 15 minutes to work on a Prezi presentation related to the different economic sectors involved during the pandemic, focusing on the transport sector, with the objective to develop the Project “All together against the Covid”, more specifically to the session 8 of the project. As final reflection of the topic, in activity 4, we will work on the meme of the unit, in order to learn English in a funny way, as well as to introduce students to humour in other language and to involucrate them in the society they live, as memes are incredibly attractive for students, and an enormous pedagogical resource to consider, encouraging memorable learning. Finally, we will conclude the session by congratulating students for their effort and setting the final conclusions. What have we learned in this unit? Are you enjoyed? as well as creating expectation towards the next unit. What new adventure do you think are waiting for us? It is also the moment to show the work done for those students that decided to develop the challenge of the unit, which usually involves the collaboration of families and which will be included in the panel of the English corner of the class, being in this unit the design of a dossier with the main information about the routes, and schedules of public transport of your locality, to help foreign visitors.
