Next, I need to determine how much hair I need to drop around the perimeter. That is going to be determined by the density of the client's hair. The thicker your clients hair, the less of a perimeter you will need to drop. One trick that I like to use as a visual that allows me to know immediately whether I have dropped enough hair is I use the end of my tail comb. I start by taking about a half an inch section and drop it down and I clip the rest of the hair up. Then I take my tail comb and lay that at the part line, and I lift up the section I dropped up and over the top of the comb. If I can see the comb through the hair that means I will be able to see the extensions. So I would need to drop more hair. Do this on each side as well
