I opened my eyes after what felt like an eternity Smothered in what felt like water, yet it wasn't wet. Just suffocating. One, two, three, four, five.. Hues, colors, saturation, light, all hitting me at once. The space I thought I understood was now incomprehensible, it wasn't cold like usual either. I could feel the heat on my face from the colors, the grotesque screaming colors. I reach my hand out, expecting to feel nothing but my own memories. I lifted it up to the sky, green, sage, turquoise, blue, white, yellow, I could feel those colors on my hands. Stabbing through me I could feel it all, suddenly I was interrupted by an urge to grasp more. I hoped to find something, just something. I've waited long enough. I reached out and grasped onto the color I could barely see, when suddenly I saw red. Crimson, dark crimson floating in the suffocating space around me. Pain and needles in my bloodstream, it was like a nightmare. When I finally broke free from the space I'd only ever known, I fell and fell until the ground hit me like a brick. My shoulders broke and ripped, crack and crack until I could move no longer. It hurt more than one could imagine, until it stopped and I felt a strange new feeling of weight on my back. Feathers, big and small, heavy and light, dark and white, all throughout my bones. I moved and felt the needles stab my soul, over and over and over and over until I learned to stand. I moved until I could control and flew away into the sky.
