Welcome! To GBS+ Manila Master Data Adhesives. This video is an overview of Corporate Unit – Adhesives process. Material Master Data – our team manages and ensure the quality of data we maintain in the system. This shows the end-to-end process of the creation of material master data and the interconnected subprocesses involved in the workflow and their roles in the creation of the material process. In this video we will focus more on the process of Corporate Unit. Corporate Unit team has no direct connection to any other GBS department. We only have direct connection within MDM team like CMDT, IPAS and few portions on our RSN linking process to Finance Trade team also within Master Data. Our Process would start once the request is Initiated by MMD Coordinator via PIA tool. Regions currently using PIA Tool are Asia Pacific, North America and then Western Europe. This is an automated tool for new creation of materials. Corporate Unit tasks are as follows IB Product creation which is part of the Strategic Master Data and will be discuss on the next slides, Real Substance Number linking to Material Number or IDH number in new creation via PIA tool and update requests raise to the team either via P03 Workflow or Service Now or what we call Snow Tool for bulk requests. Corporate Unit team only performs MADAME finalization for those newly created materials that has no details provided in the Real Substance Number created in PIA. But if all the data are properly filled up no action needed on our part. Newly created material is executed with complete process steps from creation of IDH number up to the linking of IDH to the RSN and finalization of MADAME E-010 steps. Then the material number created will go through IPAS team for article creation and Z-Bom maintenance. After this the material number would proceed to the Dangerous Goods team for classification of the product if hazardous or nonhazardous. P03 workflow and Snow Requests Update requests – receive via P03 workflow. examples are material description, shelf-life value, accounting SBU, accounting SBU, UT Ownership, Alternative Unit of Measures, MSDS Label Name, Deletion, Reactivation, Extension of material to P92 and P93, Relinking of material number to new Real Substance Number. New Daughter RSN or Real Substance Number creation is application for Adhesive Consumer or AC Materials. While for bulk requests and other activities not covered in P03 workflow requests is received via Service Now (Snow Tool). Bulk requests are those requests that contains 51 items and above. Strategic Material Master Data Requests Strategic Mater Data was one of the Adhesive Technologies initiatives. Its main objective was to define a simplified & streamlined SMD data model and established a sustainable SMD governance cycle to increase quality of our SMD. Project focus was 5 main pillars including, Portfolio Ownership, Brand & Product Group, Technology, Product Line/Application, and Innovation & Sustainability. Industrial Business (IB Products) – contains activities like: IB Product Creation - reflect branding correctly on our products according to the guidelines defined for our industrial business brands and leverage this for grouping products from market perspective. IB Application Categories - cluster the Adhesive Technologies portfolio based on product line/application (i.e. what the product does) representing the distinct value propositions of our products to our customers. IB region update – movement of IB Product number from one region to another. Example from Asia Pacific to Europe. IB sustainability update and IB Innovation Data Update - reflect innovation and sustainability contribution of products within the Adhesive Technologies portfolio. Under IDH level update are the following activities: IDH Brand update - Global Brand Governance in industrial business is an integral part of the Product & Technology Management agenda for Adhesive Technologies. Across all business units we collaborate closely with the Global Brand Managers for the 5 Adhesives Technology Cluster Brands (AQUENCE, BONDERITE, LOCTITE, TECHNOMELT, TEROSON) for brand governance, especially protection and execution of brand architecture and nomenclature rules based on the unique technology foundation we have. IDH IB reassignment - Change linkage of IDH to IB Product (re-grouping). IDH Region update - movement of IDH number from one region to another. Example from Asia Pacific to Europe. IDH SBU Update – Change in SBU (Strategic Business Unit) of material number. IDH Sustainability and IDH Innovation Data Update - reflect innovation and sustainability contribution of products within the Adhesive Technologies portfolio.
