Hi, I am Lucy. I'm from Colombo, Sri Lanka. I go to a school called Ravenfoot. My school is so beautiful and all the kids are friendly. I really like to spend my time in school, especially after exams. That's because we can do anything we want. So after exams, we play, we dance, we sing, we do everything. But still, there are some things that you don't like to do after our exam, like discussing the papers because we get to know our marks. But we still love to go to school after exams. Well, talking about my school, we have our own uniform, which consists of white button-down shirts, pleated skirts, and black blazers over them, with black socks and shoes. In school, I have so many friends. My best friends are Ruby and Anna. We call Ruby the "Devil" and Anna the "Cookie". We call her "the Cookie" because she's a big fan of Jungkook from BTS. My other friends are Bella, AKA "singer", and Haley, AKA "older sister." Selena, the "Storyteller," and many more. I will mention their names when we proceed with the story. There is a new girl who came to the school recently; her name is Lisa. She's friendly with me and my friends. She's kind, good, and honest. Well, since she is new to our school, we call her the "new girl." She doesn't seem to care about that, so we keep calling her that name. Today was the second day after our school's first term exams. So many girls came today, pretty much all of the girls. Since there were so many girls, we decided to play cricket. I didn't go to play because I was not interested in playing but rather cheering. So many girls, including my friend Ruby, started to play cricket. They played on the small patch of ground that we had near our classrooms. So I and the others got a chance to watch a live cricket match, which was so cool. We all went to cheer while I and Anna cheered for Ruby's team that had the best player, Lily. But her work is bigger than an innocent lily flower. She was good at playing cricket and she scored 75 runs. Well, sometime later, my friend Bella told me that she wanted to use the bathroom. This is kind of a big task for us because we have to go to another building to use the bathroom. Sometimes we get really mad at the fact that we don't have a bathroom in our building. Then she said that she would come as soon as possible because she really wanted to watch the match. I guess she ran 100 meters. It had been 15 minutes, but Bella hadn't returned. Later, we heard a big "thud" noise and a loud scream. We all ran towards the noise. When we were going there, we found many girls looking down at something that was on the floor. They were whispering. Some closed their eyes and ran. Some of them hugged their friends, and they were all frightened. I ran towards the crowd, then went through them to see what had happened. There was a pool of blood, and in the middle was Bella. I was so shocked that I screamed loudly. I felt like my hands and legs had been locked from the inside; I couldn't even move them. Then so many teachers came, pulled us aside, and took Bella to the hospital. I couldn't forget what I had seen: Bella in a pool of blood. Our class teacher came and explained to us what had happened. She told us that it turned out to be Bella who had fallen from the window of the second floor of the three-storeyed "Victoria" building. And the investigation was being carried on by the police to reveal the real cause of the incident. The police came and questioned us. None of us were able to understand what had happened; all of us were in shock. All these questions were going through my mind: "What happened to her?", "who did this to her?", "has someone pushed her... Oh! "Was she slipping, if so?"Later on, Lisa came to me and started to talk about the incident. While talking, she told me that she and Bella came out of the washroom together. After coming half the way, Bella turned back and told her that she wanted to talk to someone, and ran away, leaving Lisa behind. Then Lisa came to the classroom. No sooner had she entered the classroom than she heard the big thud noise. After Lisa told me about the incident, some teachers came to our classroom and took us; Lisa, Ruby, Anna, some other girls who were Bella's friends, and me. She took us near a police car and asked us to get in. We got in with our teachers, but we didn't know where we were going. We were taken to the police station, and there we were questioned by policemen. We were taken into a dark room where there was only one light over the one and only table in the middle of that room. There were four chairs. I sat in one while three other police officers were sitting in front of me at the table. The police officer in the middle questioned me while one officer was observing me closely and the other police officer was taking notes. In a dream, I heard their questions, and I answered all of them. After they finished questioning me, I was sent out with the police woman from the room. I found my mom and dad. I ran and hugged them. Then my mother talked with the teacher who came with us. I saw Ruby and Anna leaving the police station with their parents. I couldn't talk to them because it was raining outside and I had no idea what to do. The only thing that was in my head was my trusted friend and how I had seen her last bleeding and unconscious. Or terrible, I couldn't forget it at any cost. My parents took me home. On the way, they asked whether I wished to talk about the incident. I said "No." We came home. My grandparents were there. They didn't say a word about the incident. I didn't talk either. I went upstairs, kept my bag on the rack, and went to the bathroom to have a wash. I switched on the light. To my surprise, I saw Bella in a pool of blood in our bathtub. I screamed. My parents came running and hugged me. I didn't open my eyes until my parents took me near my bed. When they asked me what happened, I told them that I had seen Bella in a pool of blood and that she had been in my bathroom. Then my mom told me that it was only an illusion that I had seen. The next day, it was Thursday, but I still didn't go to school. I thought of what had happened to Bella. What really happened to her was that someone pushed her purposely, or she fell from there to hurt herself. Because we all knew that Bella had family problems, some days she would come to school crying, and when we asked her about it, she never answered. I could not stop thinking about it. So I started an investigation to see what really happened to Bella because, to me, I don't believe she tried to hurt herself because, if she wanted to do so, she would have done it earlier. I believe someone pushed her. So I called my friend Ruby. I told her that I was doing an investigation to see what really happened to Bella. Then Ruby said that she would also help with my investigation. When I called Anna, she gave me the same answer. So, through WhatsApp video calls, we started our initial investigation. I told them what Lisa had told me about the incident. Then Ruby said that she was also in the classroom when they heard the "thud" noise, but Lisa wasn't there. So we called some other friends too. They also said that they didn't see Lisa when the incident was happening. So was it Lisa who really pushed Bella? We need to prove it with clear proof and evidence.
