How would you feel if heavily armed soldiers invaded your home at midnight without prior notice? No doubt, you would feel petrified. For Palestinians, this is a normal thing everyone might be subject to as citizens under Israeli occupation. It's just past midnight when the sound of shouting jolts you awake. Fully armed soldiers seal off your house in military vehicles, pound your front door, and force it open. They drag you out of bed to interrogate you. Half-asleep yet terrified, you hold up your ID while they photograph you. While little children are crying, they hold your dad at gunpoint, blindfold him, and twist his arms painfully behind his back. They drive off, giving no explanations why he is being taken away, what will happen to him, and when you can see him again.
