Hello everyone, My name is Vijay and I have my team members, Ishaan, Aditi, and Nikhil also along with me. We also have our coach Grant Stellmacher, who helped us make our idea more objective and insightful We are really excited to present our Innovation idea before the panel and , thrilled to be part of this fantastic Innovation journey of RSM innovation. This season is special to us, as this is the first time this challenge is open to the India team as well, and we are really looking forward to your guidance and vision. Before showcasing the prototype, we would like to talk briefly about our idea and its advantages. Our idea is to have a platform through which , we can support our client on the most critical thing in any business, which is CAPITAL. Our platform called Capital Gauge, this would help the client to have a quick broad level assessment of working capital of the company. And also see how the company is performing against its peer group. Through this solution, we can help the client to show the potential cash saving, a client can generate by making working capital efficient. This will not only help RSM to increase its revenue share , but also improve the relationship with the clients by providing more objective advice from a value creation perspective, and a broader working capital team can be involved from diagnostic toimplementation stages. This is a quick demo of our proposed platform to be built for Capital Gauge. This tool would have the functionality to pull the data from external sources like capital IQ or any USA-specific databases. Also, can have an internal source like past project information , that would only be incorporated after taking QRM approval. On the landing page of the platform, the user needs to select a few information based on the client and the project requirement. The first , would be to select which source information , a user wants to use from Internal, external, and both. Let’s select External here. Second, the user would need to select the industry for which the information is fetched based on the client’s company industry. Currently, we would like to cover TMT, CPR, and Industrial in the first phase. Let’s select CPR here. In the third criteria, the user needs to select the sub-industry classification considering different business dynamics. For CPR, we would be having food and beverages, Household, Personal care, wholesale distribution, and Agricultural industry. Let’s select food and beverages here in this example. Forth criteria would be to select for which region the user wants companies to be picked up from. Based on the Client’s company region, user can select the relevant region to have a more logical peer set of companies. We would have the US, Canada, UK, Asia, etc in the option. Let’s select the US here. Lastly, user needs to define what would be the size of the companies to be analyzed based on the revenue range. We are selecting US dollars 250 million to US dollars 500 million for this example. Now, after selecting all the required criteria, the user needs to click on submit button to get the list of peer companies of the client’s company. User now selects which are more appropriate companies to consider for the analysis. Let’s select 7 companies here out of 11 companies. We have excluded these companies considering the nature of business and revenue range. Now click on GO, this will take a few minutes to generate the list of selected companies including their working capital information. This is the list of all the companies we have selected as peer group companies and their working capital information , like accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory. Now based on this information and the requirements, we can calculate working capital leavers which are. Days payable outstanding, Days sales outstanding, Days inventory outstanding, and cash conversion cycle, Peer group best working capital, Current and historical best working capital of client’s company, And, Peer upper quartile working capital. Based on these calculations, further, calculate the potential cash saving opportunity based on the current working capital structure of the client’s company. A User can quickly prepare a one-slider quick summary of the cash-saving opportunity, in this example, the client’s company SRX ranks at 5 relative to the 7 peer companies in terms of net working capital as a percentage of sales. Based on the calculation, in this example, significant opportunities exist to optimize working capital performance and release tied up cash up to $37m based on peer and historical performance. Further optimization can also be achieved by looking into deeper of each component of working capital. This was a quick demo of our potential platform. As per our understanding and experiences, we can certainly see a lot of benefits of this platform, those could be: • Provides the client with peer benchmarking analysis thereby optimizing the value from the engagement. • Potential to generate a more substantial working capital improvement project. • Increase RSM wallet and depth of services • Further diagnosis will require detailed analysis based upon company-owned information to effectively determine realistic goals and opportunities. This can be done by the working capital advisory team • It will help in providing more objective and value-added solutions to the client, that can help them improve the most critical thing in the business, which is CAPITAL. Thank you, We hope we could articulate our idea clearly , and this would be helpful in making RSM, even more stronger first-choice and leading advisor in middle-market clients.
