Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a list of goals and established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 to ensure that all people live in a peaceful and prosperous environment in the future. There are in total 17 goals of SDG with 169 specific target to serve as a catalyze effort for approximately 15 years. However, all these goals were slowed down due to the covid 19 pandemic that happened in 2019. This pandemic is a major health crisis that has changed the life of millions globally. According to the WHO (2018), health defined as a state of completeness that includes the physical, mental, and social well-being, not just the absence of disease or infirmity. Among health, mental health is most challenging to handle or detect because the individual would hide their feelings and emotions to avoid people around them being worried. Mental health refers to our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. During the pandemic period, many people were under high stress due to various concerns and end up suffering from different severe mental illnesses. According to research, in just merely 3 months after the outbreak, there were 78 cases of attempted suicide and 64 cases of suicides were reported in Malaysia. From these data, our group decided to research the mental health of college or university students during the pandemic.
