A fact is a specific detail that can be proven as true based on objective evidence. Objective proof can be one or more of the following: physical evidence, an eyewitness account, or the result of an accepted scientific method. Example: COVID-19 is a new virus which has spread quickly to many countries around the world. - This statement is a fact based on the number of cases recorded around the world which has greatly affected how people live.
