To choreograph this we were given the music and and put into small groups to form the fight scenes. It was interesting to look at how we could make the fighting look effective as well as animalistic. In my pair we looked for a little while at how an animal might fight. We thought that whilst the farmers would use weapons, the animals would use their claws and their teeth. We worked with a few different ideas but after talking to our teacher we settled on a sequence with a push and pull of each person having the advantage at different points throughout. We also have different points where we come together to fight against the farmers. In my sequence I looked at how animals would lash out with their claws, creating a scratching motion. Then within the choreography we also wanted to include a biting part where the farmer goes to attack me and I bite her arm to defend myself. I think our choreography worked well as it demonstrated the vicious animalistic movements and within the larger scale of the battle section, it worked well amongst the rest of the cast.
