Technology is harmful to relationships Hello everyone, my name is Saholy Well it is a pleasure to be here today to share with you my view about the issue that technology is harmful to relationships. As every body knows, Technology is very popular and becomes an indispensable part of our daily life. Nowadays, technology's dominance in our everyday lives touches not only work, business, and travel but also relationships. Digital technology can be a blessing and a curse, both on dating and family connection. Despite the fact that many people see technology as the mean of easier and faster communication through, social platforms and the Internet, I am deeply convinced that the use of technology can be a nuisance for relationships and I have 03 good reasons to support my view. Firstly, those who support that technology improves relationtships claim that it helps relationships last overtime and distance, especially for friends who can’t meet in person. However, in many instances, technology reduces the quality of human interactions. In other words, technology interfers in having a real conversation face to face allowing. It is important to note that, Face time is important in relationships because it makes our relationships so much more fulfilling. Not only do we have to opportunity to see each other, hear each other, but we also receive visual signals of happiness, anger and sorrow Indeed, a smiley-face emoji is certainly cute, but it could never replace the smiling eyes of one of your best friends. Secundly, some people believe that in romantic relationships, technology can bring people closer .However, little do they know that it is also a major cause of “digital distraction from real life moments.” It means that the presence of smartphones, televisions, laptops, or tablets may all result in increased distance between people. Instead of having important conversations, one or both partners are more focused on their phones and checking social media. According to research published in the journal Computers in Human Behavior smartphones are damaging romantic relationships and leading to higher levels of depression. Last but not least, some people claim that technology has really opened up more ways for us to communicate. Nowadays, most of our interactions are made possible through online platforms and social media. However, they tend to forget the fact that technology can also cause misunderstandings and confusions. It means that when people communicate primarily via text, they're much less likely to have meaningful conversations. In addition, it is important to note that by texting, messages might be misinterpreted or misunderstood. This is because text messaging cannote accurate convey tone, emotion and facial expressions. In short, like all tools, technology can reap great benefits or tragic consequences and help or harm your relationships. Not only does technology bring people closer together and strengthens relationships but it also, better communication. However it can negatively affects human relationships by decreasing the quality time and being a big distraction for either party and causing misunderstandings. Thus, it is important that people control their use of technology, and never forget the essential of personal interaction.
