Tell me about yourself. I was born in the city of Porto. I lived there until I was 18. Then I went to study to Covilhã, to the University of Beira Interior. I studied Aeronautical Engineering for 5 years. As for my tastes, I love sports, with special taste for the gym and basketball (which I practiced for 8 years). I love hanging out with friends and my girlfriend. I love talking to people and relating to people. I really like the psychology theme. I admit that at the beginning of college I wasn't the biggest fan of airplanes, but after having been studying them for so long I fell in love and I'm sure this is where I want to work. I consider myself a good person, I like to help people, and so far, I've had no complaints. What are your strengths? My strengths are that I am focused, confident, and proactive. I like to deal with people and run workgroups. Due to the experience of internships, I think I am one of the most well-prepared recent graduates for airworthiness positions. A big strength is the fact that I don’t give up easily and I'm not afraid to throw myself. What are your weaknesses? One of the weaknesses is the fact that sometimes I stutter a bit in situations where I know new people, especially older people, but it is something that I have managed to improve and will certainly improve with age. In fact, the only time I showed up on television, on television news, was news of mine stating that I was a successful case of stuttering. Another weakness is perhaps, when I do some work or document or email, do not do a double check with quality, and read only from above. Why did you leave your last job? I didn't have a job before this one. This is my first job in the field. Tell us about your education I studied Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Beira Interior. The course consisted of an integrated master's degree of 5 years. In my fourth year I decided to perform an unpaid internship in the engineering and airworthiness department of Nortávia, a company in the Porto, an Pilot School, that is, a company with light aircraft with propeller. There came the idea of my master's thesis. I went to my teacher and suggested the topic. The professor said there was a problem, I only knew the procedures of this company, I needed to know other companies. It was then that the opportunity arose to perform a curricular internship in tap's engineering and airworthiness department. I think I've had a perfect academic career for airworthiness positions. In addition to having knowledge of the aeronautics, I have knowledge of airworthiness of two different companies. One company operates light aircraft and the other operates complex motor-powered aircraft. I could see the similarities and the differences and the best of both worlds. To contextualize, my Dissertation was about the analysis of the efficiency of the Aircraft Maintenance Program. Basically I used a methodology from the quality control world (six sigma) to determine if the Maintenance programs were efficient. Basically the data I used referred to anomalies that were detected by the crew or aircraft maintenance technicians. For my study I used data from 6 cessna 152 aircraft from the Porto company and I used data from 6 A320 aircraft from TAP. Where do you see yourself 5 years from now? In 5 years I imagine myself in Lisbon working with my girlfriend, she is a nurse. I can already imagine myself with my own house, with a car, starting to think about marriage. One thing I value is stability, I don't want to leave the country, I don't want to live 3 years in one city and then 2 years in another. I want to be stable. On a professional level, I want to move up the career ladder normally. I have no doubt that I will improve my skills and create my name in the industry. What kind of salary do you expect? I expect a salary suited to my abilities. A salary suitable for my recent master's degree. Why do you want to work for us? I don't have any questions. The only question I can have is whether the test is going well. Is it going well? Do you have any questions for me/us? I really want to be integrated into the TAP family because for me it is the largest Portuguese company in the aeronautical world, and it is a pride for me to share with my friends and my family. I had the opportunity to do an internship at TAP and Loved people and everything from the canteen to the fact that I have a gym next door. OTHERS: In fact, you can even say that I'm a "man of phases". This is because I think I work a lot in phases. During 2 months I start to paint pictures on canvas, in the following 3 months I decide to learn to play the violin, then I decide to start cooking complex foods, in short, phase after phase. What I notice is that I make great progress, but I get to a point where I can't progress any further or master the art.
