Me: To pursue my master’s in information systems at CMU Vo: why this university Me: CENTRAL MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY is one of the top public research universities offering SAP focused graduate programs and because of its great course curriculum which offers dual specialization in my area of interest. Professor Vo: what is the use of SAP and which companies use it Me: SAP is one of the world’s leading producers of software for the management of business processes, developing solutions that facilitate effective data processing and information flow across organizations. Sap is the top leader when it comes to ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software. All Major enterprises around the globe uses sap software. (SAP is not an acronym its pronounced as individual letters S.A.P) Vo: Tell me about your Course. or why did you choose this course This course consists of 36 credit hours: 1. 21 credit hours are required for core courses in which student will learn application development, systems analysis and design, database management and application security 2. 15 credit hours are required based on area of specialization. There are 4 tracks: 1. SAP 2. Cyber security 3. Business data analytics 4. Project Management I will be opting for SAP and business data analytics Add on: (MSIS is a unique course that draws upon elements of both computer science and business strategy) VO: Why you applied To Other universities Me: My main Priority is CMU but getting an admission in US country is bit difficult, so I have applied to other university whereas the University also offering similar course curriculum. Vo: Well then why masters now and why not early? Me: Actually, I planned to do my master's back in 2019 itself as soon as I completed my UG. But by the time I'm unsure which program to choose in order to plan my career accordingly, so I choose to work for couple of years and as the time passes, I understood the importance of Business Analytics. So, I decided to do my master’s now. VO: How masters would help ME: I was working as Assistant Systems engineer; I want to see myself in a broader career range as business analyst so masters would help me to achieve my career goals VO: What’s your role and responsibilities​ ME: Roles and Responsibilities in the organization is to do analysis, design, develop, on SAP logon tool version 770, to extract the required data by using the business logic and export the extracted data from SAP logon to the SQL DB and will perform SQL query validation on the data to avoid unnecessary divination in the data and to achieve the data accuracy. With the usage of Power BI and the extracted data, I will be generating business analytical reports in the Power BI environment and by using database analytical tools to analyses performance and generate reports. Write fast and performant database queries using a flavor of SQL Server, such as MySQL, and maintain the backup databases regularly. Perform SQL database sharding and indexing procedures as required to handle heavy traffic loads. creation, optimization, and implementation of stored procedures. For the project enhancement, I have worked on Azure synapse, data factory, and storage accounts I have worked to creating pipelines in Microsoft Azure environment to optimize the workflow and reflect the same in the business data analytical reports in the Power BI environment. Me: I'll be able to find a good job in my home country after completing graduation and repay the same VO: What after Master's? Me: Will come back to find a good job career position as Business Analyst in Tech giants. VO: Funding Me: I have secured an education loan of 35 lacs from HDFC credila also my father is cosponsoring with his savings of 17.5 lacs along with this we also have immovable property worth 1C 45 lacs which can be liquidated if required.
