Did you know that the earth’s surface is 70% water? Well maybe yes, but did you know that the water allowed for human consumption is only 3% of that. According to World Atlas, the 3% are considered to be fresh water and most of it are locked up in polar ice caps. In short it is too far to be extracted. Also the accessible fresh water is becoming polluted. Leaving us about roughly 0.4% of potable water and is to be shared with 7 billion people. Alarming as it may seem, it has not reached the attention of many, much like the other problems. However, that doesn’t mean that we can’t address the problem. One of the ways to combat water shortage is water management. This is the discipline of conserving water. A solution that anyone can do because it does not require other resources other than discipline. A simple yet impactful solution if done by everybody. To address the impending concern regarding water shortage, the people's cooperation is crucial. It is important to manage water efficiently for the future generations to come. These solutions might not be that much. However its aftermath is different if done by many.
