In this video I’m going to show you how to start a healthy morning routine. To have certain habits in the morning will make sure you get the best out of your day. It can also make a noticeable difference in your mental health and make you more productive. I'm going to give you 10 examples of habits you can start doing to get the best out of your morning. Wait for number 8, my personal favorite. Subscribe and stay tuned for more videos like this! Number 1: Make your bed. The first one is very easy, but can make a great difference. Make your bed right after you’ve woken up. This way you already have accomplished your first task of the day and it allows you to be more productive during the rest of the day. Number 2: Drink water. We all know staying hydrated is very important. That first glass of water in the morning gets this whole hydrating process going. Number 3: Wash your face. The first reason to do this, is to make sure you’re ‘awake’ directly after waking up. It makes you feel more ‘alive’. The second reason is to make sure your skin stays healthy. It will also give you a fresh look, which can make you more confident. Number 4: Wake up at the same time everyday. Creating a routine inside your body will help everything become easier. By teaching your body a certain routine, for example getting up at seven every day, your body can prepare itself naturally for waking up, which will make it a lot easier. When your body doesn’t have a routine, you will be more likely to wake up very sleepy. Number 5: Get dressed as soon as you can. Getting dressed for work, school or the gym has several benefits. You will feel like you can tackle more when you feel good about how you are looking. Obviously ensure that you wear the right things for the activity, but making an effort with how you look will make all the difference. It also pursues you to do things. For example, putting on your gym clothes will highly make sure that you actually go to the gym. This way you don't procrastinate and you start the day more productively. Number 6: Exercise. This exercise could be anything. Whether you only have time for a quick stretch, 30 minutes of yoga, or something more substantial – a morning workout will keep your body and mind at its best so you will be more productive and full of energy during the day. Number 7: Have a healthy breakfast. We can almost say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. This is your first chance to fuel your body for the day ahead. Eating oats, fruits, or something like banana pancakes, ensures that you will also eat healthier for the rest of the day. This will give you a lot more energy. Number 8: Express your gratitude. Writing down what you're grateful for has really helped me to become a better version of myself. It allows you to focus on the things that are important to you and makes sure you’ll be a lot happier. Number 9: Make a to do list. Writing down the things you want to achieve that day can be very useful. With a to do list you will be more likely to stay focused on the things you want to achieve that day. Ticking off your goals on the list makes you feel fulfilled. Number 10: Don’t check your phone for the first 30 minutes. Even though we usually don’t see it this way, our phones can cause a lot of stress. Not using your phone while you sleep will make you wake up with lots of notifications. Notifications on the news, your bank account or other things are hidden stressors. Wouldn’t it be great to stay calm the first 30 minutes of the day to start the day happier? These were 10 habits that can make your morning a lot easier and less stressful.
