My name is Bilius Laura I’m a phd student at Stefan cel mare university of Suceava. This paper addresses the use of Tucker1 decomposition for tensor compression and a comparison of this method with a projection-based method, Principal Component Analysis for dimensionality reduction of hypespectral images. After dimensional reduction, some classifications were performed using the features extracted for which we calculated k-fold cross-validation loss. The decomposition is applied on hyperspectral images. These images are represented by large amount of data and it is necessary to reduce their sizes without affecting the quality results.
