We still haven’t seen what is the Altitude Reporting Database component, and how it integrates with the S Q L Server replication mechanism.​ The Altitude Reporting Database is a Windows service developed in C # .NET, that will create articles on the Publication database.​ S Q L Server can then start its replication mechanism using these articles.​ Let’s remember that in this architecture, we have two databases.​ The Publication, which is the Altitude uCI Server database, and the Subscription, where you will have the replicated data to run your queries.​ When the Altitude Reporting Database starts for the first time, it creates an initial publication with the tables in the Publication database;​ Then, it creates the subscription, and finally, configures the three S Q L Server agent jobs that we’ve seen.​
