Tess called me “self-centered” and continued to lecture me on how I had done the wrong thing. Kerri from LJ Hooker had advised this same day that according to her records Tess has never attempted to reach out to Body Corporate regarding any of my concerns about the culture of harassment, sexual harassment or homophobia/transphobia in the unit complex. At approximately 9pm tonight Tess and Ian arrived home and accused me of being “vile” for telling this woman screaming at me naked out of her window to leave me alone and go back to her transphobic partner. Although I agree I responded in shock and anger to being screamed and sworn at, I find it intriguing that to this day Tess and Ian do not seem overly concerned with the vileness of their behaviour, the partner telling a traumatized queer woman that perhaps the reason she is street or sexually harassed is because of an “energy” she is putting off, or that “trans people are raped at higher rates because of the amount of sex they have and their issues with drug use” or the woman’s decision to scream naked out of a window at me and swear at me rather than have a rational conversation. Ian and Tess proceeded to at first deny and flip-flop on the male neighbor ever saying these victim blaming/transphobic comments, then Tess seemed to make contradictory statements, such as “well the night he said those things to you I didn’t actually hear everything he said to you”. Rather than coming to me and really hearing my story it appears that Tess and Ian have been visiting with these neighbors (the ones at number 6 who ultimately threatened me with physical violence) and the young males from number 2 who called my phone after yelling “OI” aggressively from at me from their cars, and who I said I do not want to associate with. The number 2 residents had made misleading comments to my lease holder claiming that I was harassing them. The day the owner of those young male’s units sent the police around apparently there had been “other complaints” from “other tenants” and I believe I am started to see a pattern of 11 juvenile retaliation in these behaviours.
