“I’m recording all of this you are in my yard and you are trespassing on my property”. He misleadingly tried to frame the scenario as me trespassing on his nearby property (when he has a large metallic electric gate and six-foot fence and this would prove pretty difficult if it were true) when he had previously come into my yard and cut up MY property unlawfully. He then called the police and used this false recording in another malicious attempt to intimidate me and to get me displaced from my home. I still had no idea who this person was and if he was truly a property owner (as he claimed) and saw that this person drove a car with a business logo on it. I contacted the business to confirm that this person in their employ was in fact a property owner and body corporate member permitted legally to enter our property whenever he wanted, as I had no idea why someone claiming to be on the body corporate would be cutting up my property in my yard and photographing my home. The next morning on approximately July 14 (I will need to run these dates past the police who attended to get more accurate recordings of dates). The police did not take a report of the willful damage to my property or this male’s aggressive behaviour towards me, or the fact that he turned up at the gas station smiling at me smugly after I walked past his house which was on route. The police also made a comment “there have been several complaints about you from other neighbors” and would not extrapolate on what the nature of the complaints were. I am a queer woman who suffers from severe PTSD and these experiences have left me quite shaken. I contacted Queensland Police ethical conduct division and the performance officer is ensuring that these police receive awareness training on how to respond to these scenarios in the future. This property owner has walked into our yard on about 3 occasions since this time making eye contact and smiling at me smugly as if he is impressed with his previous actions.
