I moved into the neighborhood in early July 2020. While in the process of transitioning around July 10 to my new share house, an Airtasker driver who I had already paid through the app to deliver a mattress to my home began to message me in the app saying that he would deliver the mattress when it “suited him” leaving me in a position without a bed to sleep on and forcing the other two tenants to share a bed together. I explained the situation to this this Airtasker driver and he responded by saying what a “nice girl” I am and that he would like to come pick me up in his truck and take me to my mattress. I told him there is no need to pick me up and if he has time to come and grab me in his car, he has the time to deliver my mattress as agreed upon and paid for in advance. At this denial to get in his car with him which is not required when had both the pick-up and drop-off address already, the driver then demanded I cancel the job with him. I made sure I reported the driver to Airtasker and he is being retrained as Airtasker agreed that this behaviour is just not appropriate. During this same week I had frequented a Korean Mart in our neighborhood near a PA clinic that treats drug addiction. An individual near the entrance to the drug rehabilitation clinic approached me and yelled incoherently about being “military trained” and asking me what my name is and where I live. He then proceeded to follow me to the Woolworths nearby and a security guard intervened.
