One of the greatest things about a story is when the protagonist of the story prevails over the antagonist. When the good guy wins, when good conquers evil. It makes the heart happy to see when evil is squashed and justice is served effectively. But as we learned the last time we were together, our hearts are those that are in the wrong. And just like in those movies when the good beats the bad, so too does the goodness of the Lord win in the end, even against our deceptive hearts. Today on Anchored in Truth our Pastor-Teacher will finish up the section of the treasures that our deceptive hearts keep us from enjoying. Then, as we’ve teased up to this point, we will close on a positive note: the truth that silences the deceptive heart. For the believer, this is a very happy ending. Join us now as we go to 1 John 3:19-24 and conclude the study, “Your Deceptive Heart.” Here now is Pastor-Teacher, Jeff Noblit.
