Thanks for having me here! My name is Romaric Senturo, I grew up in France but I was born in Kenya and had the opportunity to live in Togo as well. I’m currently a student at EM Lyon business School where I study management with a major in Corporate Finance. Back in high school I never thought about working in finance as I wanted to be either an official football referee or maybe the head of sales for a large company. I started to get interested in finance after a first internship at Société Générale and then a second one at BNP Paribas’ Corporate Banking division. A very great experience that introduced to investment banking as I had the opportunity to work on a wide range of transactions, from asset and working capital financing to M&A advisory. One interesting transaction that worked on was the financing of a €335m cross-border M&A transaction in Chemical industry, so I was able to learn about the process of an M&A deal, how to build a DCF model and comps analysis. And it was from that specific moment that I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in investment banking which led BNP Paribas to make me an offer to come back the following year for a second internship in their advisory activity. Your firm has an outstanding investment banking division and above all a multicultural work-place environment that I will hardly find in Paris - this is what motivated me to apply for the summer internship programmes in London office. And I believe the combination of my experiences and extra-curricular activities makes me an excellent candidate for this internship.
