IS SUGAR, A POISON or NOT. now many people argue on the fact that sugar is not that much harmful as scientists and researchers say, but According to a recent article in the reputed science magazine 'Nature', sugar, like tobacco and alcohol, is also harmful for the human body. Apart from being dependence-inducing in nature, it is responsible for almost all types of metabolic syndromes and fatty liver. One molecule each of glucose and fructose combine to form the common sugar, chemically known as sucrose. While glucose can be metabolized in every cell of the body for generation of energy, fructose cannot be. Metabolism of fructose takes place in liver. More intake of fructose means greater load for liver cells leading to hypertrophy and ultimately to liver failure. Some of the harmful effects of sugar are enumerated below: ( a ) Sugar causes increase in levels of uric acid ( more uric acid, higher the blood pressure ) and triglycerides in the blood. ( b ) It causes insulin resistance due formation of fat in liver. ( c ) It causes diabetes due to formation of liver glucose. ( d ) Fructose links with lipids, proteins and DNA in the body, exhibiting toxic effects similar to that of alcohol. ( e ) Sugar interferes with the functioning of leptin which gives satiety signal to the brain. This results in consumption of more food by an individual. ( f ) Sugar also disturbs the functioning of dopamine which signals the brain about the pleasure derived from food by an individual. This also leads to more consumption of food by an individual. But all this harms can be avoided by you weather you love sugar or not, well, the best alternative is not to consume it.it is really about your choice if you want to eat sugar you should eat it in a controlled amount and you must also burn it by high intensive exercise like swimming, running and others but still sugar will be a threat for your body. Rather you should try out natural sweeteners like monk fruit or stevia. THANKS FOR WATCHING LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE HEALTHY VIDEOS!!!
