Celebrations are mixed with worshiping gods, and entertainment. All three days, people enjoy the celebration, with music, dance and procession. People carry the gods idol, in a decorated wooden platforms, around the temple, and main streets of the village. We can see the touch of old customs, and still it is followed, in the festival. Some places the procession happens, in the evening time. Some places it happens, in the night time. Walking on the fire wood, also a custom in some places. Apart from worshiping gods, entertainment also goes on the other side, in different ways. Folk dance, Kuravan Kuurathi aatttam, Kanieyaan Kouthu, Villu Paattu and light music are famous to watch, during the celebration. It will go till mid night in some places, on the last day of celebration. Many places the celebration, ends with fire works. People in my native land, look forward this celebration every year, since it is their identity. It is their god, which protects their family.
