Masayoshi Son at 19 was moved to tears by a photo of a Microchip. This was his first encounter with a Microchip and soon become the origin of Softbank as we are entering the Information Revolution Era. Masayoshi Son founded Softbank on his own, back then Personal Computers we mainly available for a limited number of people. Softbank software distribution and publishing business helped drive PC adoption in Japan. Then Masayoshi Son enter an advanced IT maker at the United States and met with Jerry Yang who just founded Yahoo Inc. And then Yahoo Japan was created based on Masayoshi Son and Jerry Yang collaboration to introduce Internet environment in Japan… Although internet environment in Japan did not improve, Masayoshi Son launch Yahoo BroadBand in 2001 to provide broadband services and overcoming various obstacle. By doing so, Softbank was able to provide the world’s most affordable broadband infrastructure. In 2006 internet connectivity will be possible at anytime and anywhere. With this Achievement Masayoshi Son decided to enter the mobile communication market through acquisition of Vodafone, Softbank successfully launched innovative service and product development throughout Japan.
