It was an honor and a challenge to perform the winning piece of the international composition competition for bercandeon. It's a piece that pushes the instrument to its limits, while trying never to exceed them. In "Subindo a montanha" I like the continuous changes of meter, the use of dissonances, the thematic references and the recited text that intersects with the music. So congratulations to the winner!
