Exhibit 14... Pinecone by Charlotte Apers... Charlotte's work can be described as almost a children's book-like perception of reality. Her tattoos feel very much illustrative, quirky and fun and are often inspired by nature. This pinecone was done in a more realistic approach, since the cone comes with a story. At a very young age, when Dani’s grandfather died he gave his grandmother a pinecone in hopes it would comfort her while grieving. When Dani turned 18 his grandmother wrote him a letter, saying it did indeed comfort her, because the pinecone was his most precious possession at the moment and he saw that she needed it more. When eventually his grandmother would die years later he gave away another pinecone. This time to himself.
