Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15 1929, in Atlanta, in comfortable middle-class family He was an African American Baptist minister and an activis, he became the leader of the American civil rights movement from 1955. He hoped that America and the world could form a society where "race" would not impact the person's civil rights, King advanced his idea through nonviolence and civil disobedience, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi. King won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964, among several other honors Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee, on April 4. 1968 an event that shock all world.
