I've always been interested in programming, coding, what not. I can barely make my own script and I'm not good at it, but I try and I hope I'll get better. So far I'm awful compared to all those other casual scripters, but most of the successful ones are in their late teen, and I'm barely a pre teen. This video was helpful. As a 2nd year student in a Game Development Program, this is a fantastic introduction to Lua scripting. Looking forward to having you guys cover more advanced topics for lua in the future. [logic statements and object syntax mainly, assuming lua has objects...] This was extremely useful. This is the first time I ever actually learnt something for Lua. Most other tutorials didn't work for me because either they were outdated, or they just didn't make sense to me. If I make an awesome game on roblox, I'm giving all credit to you guys! Hey, im pretty new to scripting in Lua, and my brother understands the more advanced scripts on Gamemaker, but i was wondering... How can I make a targeting system of sorts, like if I were to click on an enemy, it would lock the camera towards it... Is this possible??? And if so... How? Oh, good, Roblox is doing the Hour of Code, too. As a first-year student in Computer Science, and someone who's developed prototype games on Roblox (nothing's taken off yet, sadly) for six years (and counting), this is really nice to see. I learned to script in Roblox Lua years ago by experimenting by myself, but it's awesome that Roblox is spreading the knowledge through YouTube.
