In early 1945, during Josef Menguh lay's human experimentations at awshvitz, he had collaborated with German-sympathetic Gehnsokyo inhabitants in his endeavors to create the oobermensh. This unexpectedly ready participation by these inhabitants was partially due to Japan's inclusion in the Axis powers. Notably, the transportation of Gehnsokyo inhabitants to awshvitz was a clandestine affair, as their existence could prove to be a valuable trump card against the Allied powers. With DNA from these natural superhumans secured, Menguh lay would begin his project, henceforth known as the farbar oobermensh mee torientshtark project, or FOOMO. The FOOMO project aimed to mass-produce super soldiers with the abilities of the inhabitants of Gehnsokyo. Fortunately, or unfortunately, the FOOMOs were never utilized, and it is horrific to consider what the current state of the world would be should they have been. All of Gehnsokyo was obliterated in a third atomic bombing that was kept secret from the entire world, and this was done not out of deterrence like the prior bombings but as an attempt to exterminate all with supernatural powers. The ethical concerns were ultimately outweighed by the potential danger evaluated. With a staunch censorship policy that refused to acknowledge the existance of Gehnsokyo, the third bombing and its consequences have fallen into obscurity.
