Good evening. So glad you could join us. In her book 'The Attic', Morgan McCardie has a quote from Alastair Dunbar about people who carry the light of hope in the world. Who hold it close and follows wherever it takes them. I want to thank all of you who gathered to watch her story. Some of it is harrowing. Some of it will make you outraged. Especially, when you see the times law enforcement could have saved her and did not. And at the monster who defies all understanding. But in the end, Morgan would find a way to save her self with a light no one could extinguish. By holding on to hope. A father who would never let go and a caring and observant stranger who made it possible, one day, for Morgan to call her father and say ''I am alive! I'm coming home'' She was a little girl with a name right out of a storybook, Morgan McCardie. Age nine years old. A girl who loved her dad, her older brother and sister and school and books and by holding on to the memories of everything and everyone she love, survived and thriumphed after a battle in a monsterous ordeal.
