This is where the rubber meets the road. The F S O is the person responsible for Information Services in his or her Flotilla. He or she works with the S O to see that all of the Flotilla members, as well as the Flotilla Commander, are well informed about developments in the I S program. The F S O is the person who teaches the Flotilla members about how to record their hours, how to earn and maintain qualifications, and how to access the information they need to be successful in the Auxiliary. The job description and responsibilities of the F S O are spelled out in the Information Service Officer’s Guide, which is one of the resources you have as a participant in this course.
