The teenagers were attacked on Kingsbury Road, north-west London the Metropolitan Police have confirmed. A third person also sustained injuries in Kingsbury but did not require medical attention. According to the police, emergency services were called to reports of gunfire in the area at 11.40pm. The two teens, both aged 17, were treated at the scene before being transferred to hospital, according to MyLondon. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. A Met Police spokesperson said: "At this early stage, there have been no arrests. "Anybody with information or dashcam footage of the incident is asked to call police on 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting CAD 8883/27Mar. "To remain anonymous contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111." The incident on Saturday night, comes as police were shot at after pursuing suspects through an estate in north London. Plain-clothes police officers were responding to a large gathering in the Graham Park Estate in Colindale last week. After approaching the group, the six men ran away forcing the officers to pursue the group. During the pursuit, one of the men discharged a firearm at the police. None of the officers, however, were injured after being shot at during the pursuit. Detective Chief Inspector Gemma Alger, investigating, said: “The message is clear that any levels of violence against our colleagues who serve the public and keep our communities safe will not be tolerated. "We are committed to finding those involved and fully investigating the circumstances. “The repercussions of this split-second action could have been grave - we could potentially have been dealing with a murder investigation. "Nobody should go to work fearing that they may never return home. “We are seeking the help of the public to identify the group of around six males who are believed to have resorted to extreme violence when pursued by police. “We encourage anyone who may have security, dashcam or doorcam footage, or any information relating to the incident or suspect group to please get in touch. "You can do so anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers who will not even ask for your name.” Police have stated there were 7,140 recorded assaults on police officers in the capital.
